Two speakers will join us for this STBA day. Brenda Logan is a highly popular quilting “youtuber” from British Columbia. She will join us at 10:30. Her topic is “Conquering Mount Scrapmore”. Brenda’s presentation will empower quilters to be creative, provide basic block case studies, and inform you on how to elevate a block to something special. She will explain how to play with elements of design, making scrap quilts and charity quilts. She has lots of ideas on what to do with your scraps, strings and crumbs! She will also introduce you to other quilting and sewing channels on You tube and other media platforms … A comment from Brenda -  “I love making quilts, spending my days covered in thread bits and teaching quilting.”

At 1:00 Dawn Piasta will join us.  She is a well known art quilter from Winnipeg. She will share her journey as a quilter. Dawn will invite us to delve into her “creative a la mode” and share her excitement for the inspired process and passion as an art quilter. Dawn will share her process of acquiring inspiration and how she develops a design from conception to completion. Dawn has spoken to many guilt guilds across the country.
