How to Join As A Member

You can pay your membership fees at the online store. Once your payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email. Please allow up to 72 hours for this to come through.

Member Story

My name is Inge and I joined the WCQG about eight years ago. Joining the guild has been an incredible experience. My quilting skills have grown immensely and the friendships I have formed have been wonderful. 

I learned early on that the guild was composed of beginning as well as many talented and highly skilled and experienced quilters. There was a place for everyone regardless of skill level. I was a somewhat reluctant participant at first, but soon learned that the best way to get to know quilters and learn more was to become actively involved in the guild, so I jumped right into a role on the executive. It was here that I quickly met many quilters and built friendships. The camaraderie and shared passion for quilting have been truly inspiring. 

The guild has provided me with invaluable opportunities to learn new techniques and refine my skills. The workshops are always engaging, led by skilled instructors who generously share their knowledge. The informal monthly "Gatherings" and "Open Sewing" days have provided opportunities to continue to get to know other quilters. The monthly guild meetings and Sewing Together, But Apart Days have provided amazing opportunities to learn from quilt presenters from around the world. Participating in the outreach projects has allowed me to share my quilted projects and has deepened my connection to both the craft and the community. 

Beyond the technical aspects, the friendships I've formed with fellow guild members are the highlight of my experience. The sense of belonging and mutual encouragement has made my quilting journey not just a creative outlet, but a fulfilling and happy part of my retirement.

For anyone who loves quilting, who wants to learn more and develop new friendships, I highly recommend joining our guild and finding ways to volunteer and become involved in the guild - be more than an observing participant - get involved. This is more than just a group - it can be a supportive, inspiring and vibrant community that has the possibility to enrich your life in ways you didn't imagine.  The key is becoming involved!
