Mahogany Rose: Free Standing Appliqué with Kathy K. Wylie

This “astonishing leap forward in quilting” (Bethanne Nemesh, White Arbor Quilting) has “redefined what a quilt is” (Cindy Seitz-Krug, Quintessential Quilting) and “started a whole new trend in the quilting world” (Luana Rubin, eQuilter.com). Now you can learn the technique that has captured the imagination of these quilting professionals and so many others! In this class, you will learn how to make turned-edge appliqué shapes that are completely free-standing without a background. Each shape is a hand-sewn layered quilt with batting and backing, leaving the spaces between the shapes totally open. The Mahogany Rose circular block design can stand alone or be joined to others for a larger quilt.
