Sewing Together But Apart with TBD and Diane Vandiver

Welcome to our May 12th STBA day. Hope you are able to join us.

In the morning, we will feature one of our cruise presenters from our Virtual Cruise on the Rhine River, which took place in January 2027. More information about which presenter will be featured will be included in the weekly updates and monthly newsletters.

In the afternoon, Diane Vandiver will join us from Cummings, Georgia to share her presentation called "Scrap Quilt Secrets". In this lecture, learn specific strategies for making quilts you love from the fabric you already have! Diane will share the secrets and steps she uses for making scrap quilts that really sparkle. Learn how to avoid the “jumbled mess” look and create quilts you can live with and love.

Featuring the quilts from her book SCRAP QUILT SECRETS (plus many more!) Diane was born and raised near New Orleans and earned her degree in education from High Point College in NC. She later became a flight attendant for American Airlines for a decade before starting her family. She settled in Georgia, to raise her children where she discovered her passion for quilting while being a homeschool mom.

After making her first quilt in 1997, Diane was hooked! In 2012, and many of quilts later, Diane created the pattern company and website called Butterfly Threads Quilting. She has published dozens of patterns, created templates, and was a regular contributing writer to the Craftsy Quilting website for 5years. Since 2015, Diane has been traveling the country teaching quilt techniques and sharing her love of scrap quilts! Her two books Scrap Quilt Secrets and Strip Quilt Secrets have both been published by C&T. Diane designs fabric for Blank Quilting Fabrics and enjoys longarming on her HQ Amara.

Please join us for another day of learning and fun with quilting friends.
