We invite you to join us for another fun STBA day, as we welcome spring.
In the morning, we will feature one of our cruise presenters from our Virtual Cruise on the Rhine River, which took place in January 2027. More information about which presenter will be featured will be included in the weekly updates and monthly newsletters.
In the afternoon, we are excited to welcome Scott Flanagan, from 4th and Main Designs. Scott's quilting journey started at the age of 7 sewing alongside his grandmother making quilts for Lutheran World Relief, but he comes from a family of crafters and woodworkers. He started 4th and Main Designs in 2011. Since then his patterns have been frequently found in Quilters World, Quiltmaker, McCalls Quilting, and Fons & Porter magazines. He loves the endless possibilities available when designing patterns and gets super excited when putting together a project and normally ends up with a sample within a day or two. As for his favorite part of quilting, he shares that it is really all of it! From designing, to cutting, to piecing, to quilting, to binding (OK maybe not binding!). But It is all part of the creative process and by skipping a step it feels as though part of the project is missing.
In his lecture today, Scott shares his view of what the different pre-cuts are and show ways he has used them and tricks to maximize them to the fullest. He will also share how he buys fabrics / precuts when no project is planned.
Come and join us for a day of fun and learning.
